Hey all,
I'm feeling really dense at the moment, as i'm looking at buying new tires for the patrol, atm i have a skinny wheelset and i'm about to get a lift and i want to get some 33s with -22 steelys, can anybody tell me the tire-talk measurement for a set of 33s for my car, i don't really understand tire measurements too much.
What do you have? :D

Brendan.

Theres a chart somewhere,,,,,,,,,,,,Imperial is 33" x 12.5" x 16" /15" rim
or 285/70/16 is 33" a tad skinnier
285 is width in mm,,,,,,, 70 is % of 285 side wall and 16 is rim size as in 16"

285/75/R16 is a 33". The offset doesn't relate to size - more to where the wheel/tyre sits in relation to the arch in simple terms.

If you get sunnies they are 50-70 bucks a rim for 15x8 inch rims this is what I run for my 33x12.5x15 on my rig

Just tap it in just tappy tappy tappy

I run 33" x 10.5" tyres on 15"x8" steelies with a -22 offset. Can't post pics because I don't have any on the iPad but if you look at my party bus thread there are plenty of photos.

I run the same as Winnie....I went 10.5" wide for less rolling resistance as you need a bit more power to turn 33's rather than 31's.
I'm running a TB42 so don't have boost I can wind up to compensate!

Tip tip tip......tap tap tap....

Go the 285/75/16 on negative 22 rims. This will give you the clearance when you flex the suspension when you fit the 2" lift kit.
What tyres are you looking at?

Good luck
