Loss of power and black smoke trouble

Hi guys

I have a 04 patrol 3 lt turbo diesel. Lately I have been at my wits end.

The patrol has been losing excessive power and blowing loads of black smoke while accelerating through the gears only every now and then,, but has been getting more frequently.

Have had the old girl into a couple of mechanics no engine codes have come on have. replaced the egr valve full service and still doing the same things.

Does anyone have any ideas causes it starting to cost me some big $$$$.

Id b cheaking for intercooler leaks and ur hoses both prone 2 leaking n cuming loose

x2 air cleaner and MAF, intercooler hoses.
My intercooler was leaking at each end. I removed it, pulled it down, cleaned it and glued it back with a high temp, POL resistant silicon.
NO more leaks
