Yeah I was gonna send my missus some roses today until I saw the price of them, almost had an aneurysm, $45 for a single rose in a box, $200 for 6....... Bugger that!!!!! I decided the best I could do was leave work on time to get home at a reasonable hour but that was pointless coz no one was home :D
Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....

Well, I'm a SNAG, too.
Took the missus to the local watering hole and bought her dinner.
Sitting at the next table where a couple and their young daughter.
We left before they did, and, I did a random act of kindness - I paid for their dinner, too.
Love the Roses, Amelia. I can smell them from here. lol

Valentines Day...whats that. Was probably the florists that invented it. My missus is so used to me now she didn't even know it was Valentines day.
As a good bloke that I am I treat her like that everyday so no need to celebrate once a year ;)
You buch of suck ups...bwahahahahh

haha got tickets on yaself mate? lol
i like to be unconventional, ive never bought my missus flowers, and when she complained i hadnt i went and bought two pots and planted a heap of flowers in em. \
cut flowers are beautiful, but they eventually end up in the bin and i wouldnt want a symbol of love to be taken then binned like that... or maybe im just too metaphorical lol.

I have been married for 42 Years and have never given flowers to Lorraine.
We are happily married and have survived the 42 years with very little scarring.

Here you go guys, straight from Wikipedia..............
Saint Valentine's Day, commonly known as Valentine's Day [1][2][3] or the Feast of Saint Valentine, [4] is observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day in most of them. [3]
St. Valentine's Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus. The most popular martyrology associated with Saint Valentine was that he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire; during his imprisonment, he is said to have healed the daughter of his jailer Asterius. Legend states that before his execution he wrote her a letter "from your Valentine" as a farewell. [5][6] Today, Saint Valentine's Day is an official feast day in the Anglican Communion, [7] as well as in the Lutheran Church. [8] The Eastern Orthodox Church also celebrates Saint Valentine's Day, albeit on July 6th and July 30th, the former date in honor of the Roman presbyter Saint Valentine, and the latter date in honor of Hieromartyr Valentine, the Bishop of Interamna (modern Terni). [9][10]
The day was first associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. By the 15th century, it had evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). [1][3] Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards. [

Don't go for the whole Valentines Day thing I'm afraid - yep, I know the ladies love it and it isn't hard and all that, but just not me ... if I gave my wife a bunch of roses, she would think I'd done something bad ... like put in a new car hoist beside the shed without consulting her!!! lol
I'd Tap That!!

My wife usually gets flowers at least once a month, just depends on whether I spot any fresh ones as I drive past the cemetery :)
Joking of course, they don't have to be that fresh :)

Well I don't follow Valentine's day but generally will get the missus something anyway out of guilt. Nothing this year but she got me an awesome terrarium to sit on my desk at work! When our first rugrat was on its way a couple of years ago I bought her a toy hippo and said that it looked like her (i thought it was cute! boy i was wrong!)....Still won't ever live that one down.

I sent a love Facebook msg to the wifes wall. That's about it. I prefer to do the romantic gestures before I tell her what needs done to the patrol. It softens the blow a little bit
