View Full Version : Double post issue

There's been a lot of double posts lately. They normally occur when we are impatient and press the post button twice when posting but I noticed it happened the other day when I didn't hit the button twice.
I'm trying to find a fix for this but can other people confirm it happened when they know they didn't click the button twice?
There's a few ways to fix it I just want to make sure I do it right first time...lol

Had a few times when I clicked to post & got a spinning blue ball showing. If I tried to click again whilst this was happening I ended up with a double post.

Getting it heaps AB as you know mate and have clean up a heap of double posts from others. When I see them I delete them.
Definitely not hitting the button twice. Driving me nuts!

I've never seen it on tappa. It seems to be an Internet connectivity issue either the server or your personal computers and the forum software.
I'll work it out on the weekend.

Thanks AB, I have noticed a fair delay in the forum recently. After those posts above I closed down safari on the iPhone and restarted it and came to the forum again. I did not log out though.
Seems a little better.

It happened once to me but I thought it was just my computer skills at best again. Confused.

There you go another double. It took 25 second for the forum to respond to the submit button and then another 20 seconds to load the page.
Then I get a double post too.

Hi folks,
I have just doubled up the memory capacity of the forum. I never thought we would ever reach the limit of the plan we are currently on but after seeing those double posts this week I just confirmed that we are now at our limit with the resources of our server.
In fact we are smashing it!!!!
Just looked at the stats on the forum and we are getting around 115,000 visitors each month from all parts of the world so we have certainly grown in the last 12 months to ridiculous numbers.....Bloody poplar these Patrols....LMAO
Anyways, the forum should run a lot faster now, I can already see It's running great and hopefully the double post issue goes away too but I'll do some tests this weekend.
Any issues, let me know!!!

Deffo happened a lot to me last week. The thread reply went really slow and then I got the double post message. Back paged it and my post was there.
Also mate, and not meant as a criticism cos I like this forum, but it is so very slow. I suppose that could be my connection at home, but it is the same at work.
Just to reiterate, i`m not moaning, but if you don`t know about the problem then ya can`t fix it.
