Hey guys, my names Jarrod,l I'm 17 and turning 18 in 2 months, and I'm keen to get into a patrol for my first car :clapping: I Currently work at a small electronics store 3 days a week, attend school (year 12) and will be working as a builder 1 day a week as of next week.

I know a small amount about engines through an automotive subject through school, but I definitely have a lot to learn, and I'm keen to work on my own car. :harhar:

Cheers.

P.S if anyone's interesting in throwing some knowledge at me, check this out :)

Welcome aboard mate. If you are looking for your first I recommend getting an oldie. Won't be too upset if you bend it, and cheap 'n easy to fix at home with a little know how and some advice from the forum

Cheers

And make it a diesel while you're at it. More miles between work, and easier on the juice by far

Good luck, post some pics when you get going

Diesel is my intention! But as I only work part time I have a budget of only around 6-7k so I've got to keep a close eye on carsales etc ;)
