$350 for a 2" lift as you don't need to change the shocks.

$500 for brand new 2" kingsprings and coils (same quality as top brands, made in same factory). I use them and they give an awesome ride and flex.

Maybe ok if your on hard top only... Any sight of flex and you'll out if travel...

For a good setup go ome 2" springs, but go for the ome 3" comfort shock.
There a much smoother ride.

Lol there are only a few type of springs and there all made in the same place , iron man are king springs , suspension stuff uses kingsprings, doblisons are also kingsprings there all the same thing. Don't pay extra for the brand.

Actually I had a long discussion regarding springs with the local suspension guru (he's not aligned to any brand), and he rated Kings very highly. Explained how they use a special BHP steel and a new cold roll process, this gives the same result as the hot rolled product. This guy is an independent and I would say the most highly rated suspension/alignment guy in the district, been in the business for 30plus years.

I thought Dobinsons are made in Rockhampton and Kings are made on the Gold Coast???

To do it right I would suggest 4" flexy coils and 6" shocks, extended break lines, rotate rear drive shaft 180 degrees, extended sway bar links or disconnects, 4" drop boxes and heavy duty drag link.

$700 for coils.
$500 for shocks.
$50 for extended breaklines.
$100 for extended sway bar links.
$360 for drop boxes.

Will be a lot better and cheaper then any kit you will buy.

Yeah struts (shocks) are a bit different. I would give Shane from suspension stuff a call. He's got 2" coils for $350 and you will have to talk to him about what you want to do with your car to work out what shocks to get. He sells top quality stuff. Google suspension stuff.

Curious mate, where about are you getting your prices?? Are you just using a rough idea or actual prices?? the reason i ask is that my 2" is starting to sag and i have been pricing upgrades. 3" superior engineering (spring, shocks, brake lines, damper, caster bushes) for a bit under $1300.

Mate I had the same decision to make, took me months to decide. Researched, spoke with others and settled with Koni shocks and Kings springs.

Those prices are from the suspension stuff website but the sway bar extensions and break lines are from eBay.

Just had a look at the website and you.can get a normal 3" lift with coils, shocks, caster bushes, break lines and bias bracket for $990 or you can get the 3" flexy kit for $1400.

Yeah mate don't rush into it. I would suggest you ring Shane from suspension stuff and tell him what you are using your car for, what acsessories you have ect. Then he will match what type of spring you need soft, medium or heavy duty. Then match some shocks to go with, he makes his own shock and there great quality. Also you ONLY need springs and shocks for a 2" lift, there is no need for caster correction.

Mate you'll be really happy with your set up! I went through the whole process you have. I chose to go with the 2" tough dog big bores as well, they're spot on. I've got the heavies up front and the light duty coils down the back (also tough dog). I wanted a softer ride for every day purposes, given that the misses carts the three monsters around daily.

I've had the rig pretty well loaded and the boat in tow, there is a bit of sag but not really enough to require air bags or hight duty springs.

What was the final damage on the hip pocket? It cost me $1100

Thickness of steel, quality of steel, anticorrosion coatings prior to painting, mandrel bends and weld quality are all determining factors of a good bar. There's alot of bars and other accessories for that matter, that lack in these areas.
