Hi all,
I'm sure I have read somewhere about somebody building a set of slide out drawers that go under the rear (2nd row) seats in a GQ.
Does anyone know of such a thing being done or where I might be able to find some info?
Thanks
Drew.

I reckon you'd be far better finding a couple of Plastic tubs the right size and just place them under the seats. Flip the seat forward and access the items and then just drop the seat again. you could near screw the tub down. The seat would be the lid.

I have a couple of Air Bottles for my onboard air mounted under the drivers side rear seat.

Not sure there would be a usable front pull drawer worth making.you would just loose too much in the body of the drawer.

Nice idea but for me it can't be done until the baby and booster seats go for good lol

Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....

Yeah I'm in the same boat with the booster seats. But I would be putting stuff under there that is emergency stuff. Spare parts, ration pack, fuel filter, fuel hose, stuff you only need when the tough gets going. In that case your parked. Your kids are out of the car and taking a booster out will be the last thing on your mind.

For touring that's what I'd put there anyway ;)

Baby seats are an obstacle indeed.
Instead of a drawer, why not a cupboard type thing to put longer stuff in.
OR
A section of PVC tub within another section of PVC inside it, so it pulls out like a drawer? One for each side.
OR
Measure up the gap and draw a basic diagram (task), while having an ice cold beverage (fun).
Make a box (or basic drawer 'runner') out of folded ally or steel and use that.
You could make the base, sides and back and put a drawer inside that.
I had PVC tubing inter-connected under my GU rear seat and up the cage but that was for water storage and didn't work as planned. Its now gone.

How about under the front seats sliding out towards the rear? Heaps more space there.

A couple of issues with the middle row. If you have the folding up seats there is a bar diagonally across the outside edges to support the rear leg. Pull out draws towards the front are really the only option.

Same with under front seats, you have diagonal wire to pull the sliding latch going diagonally across the space. May get a half one in there..

Give me some time, the father inlaw is a carpenter, so ill get onto making some things up..
