Yesterday I was best man at Peter's (Irish) wedding and it was a simple affair but one of the best weddings I have been to in some time.

The reception was held at the Young and Jackson in the city in the Chloe bar and for me it was an open bar (yippee) but as I only drink beer or wine these days the lovely array of scotches was not to be?

The food was so good I over dosed in a big way, I love my steak and these were just magic..

They were about 5 stories thick and cooked rare, we had already had the lamb for starters and the steak was so nice and large I had to force myself to finish it... and I did!!

We had ordered dessert but my wife had to leave early to pick the kids up so I walked her to her car and made it back in time for the grooms speech then desserts in which I ate both mine and my wifes.

Another 30 min later it was time for my speech and this is when the meat coma was taking affect.. I felt sick from over eating.... the sweat was starting and I could not concentrate.

I spent the rest of the time feeling awful and even though I was having a good time I just wanted to go and lie down.... I got cornered in the bar with Petes dad who was over from Ireland and wanted to enjoy a good yarn with him but all I could think was I am so full !!!!

I managed to make my escape and got a cab home to where the recovery would take place...

The food was so bloody nice I could not stop myself and normally when on a big drinking session I would hardly eat..

Now I am still digesting and do not want to eat a bloody thing... Monty Python came to mind while I was there...

Meat Coma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha, that normally happens when people don't eat meat too often eg after fasting. Meat is hard to digest and you will find you will have sore guts for a day or too, but i would of thought the after grog bog would have deflated you a bit lol. BTW chili helps you digest!!

I can vouch for BA's meat coma, after downing possibly the best steak I've ever had at my wedding, good speeches too :-p
I have had bbq meat three out of the last four days, pretty sure I can't feel my face any more.

I could not handle that at all..... reckon I who is the most regular person in the world would be backed up for a week!!!

I have only now resumed normal production.

Really wanted a steak last night and ended up with lasagna from epping plaza and it was shit so now I have that feeling of unfinished business ??????
