Hi,
I have a 6/89 build GQ (Y60) leaf sprung ute (Pickup!)
I have developed some vibration in the front end over the past month. Started at 70-80knh now it seems to be spread from 80-100kkmh. I have had the tyres balanced and have greased the ball joints to no avail.
My workshop manual shows that the 'Pickup' Model has three steering links with 6 ball joints and a steering damper. I have an older version of Nissan Fast Track (Ver 4.12) but it doesn't show the three links that are fitted to my model (Relay Rod, Drag Link and Tie Rod) only the two that are on the Hardtop and Wagon models (Drag link and Tie Rod)..
Can anybody advise me of any part numbers or where I might source replacements for my model?
Thanks in advance,
John

Thanks MR,
Yes I have page ST-29 in front of me and it does show that my model is entirely different from the other models of this build.
I have just replaced the front sway bar links and had a lot of trouble identifying and purchasing them as they have rubbers at each end and not the ball joint at one end. Eventually had to get one of them manufactured by the local machinist but that is another story.
I will also try the internet and other forums to see if I can find any other information.
Thanks,
john

It would be interesting for you to compare the earlier MK or MQ leaf sprung as I think your setup is left over from that era. Definitely be looking there mate.
Good luck.

That one was done using his VIN# Daz, I can try and find a Mav VIN# and see if there is any difference if you think it will help

Thanks Toddie,
These are exactly what I require. They set out the steering as it is installed
I am unable to select the PICKUP option on my version of NISSAN FAST so can't get to see these diagrams.
