ECU 1998 GU patrol problem

Have trouble with the kick down to drop to a lower gear for extra power could it be a problem with the ECU or the A/T the TPS seems okand has the right amps going to it from the ECU

What motor do you have?? And it sounds like TPS, it controls gear changes aswell as kick down and locking up the torque converter. You have to check the resistance running thru the TPS at NOT but without knowing your engine type its hard to give you an answer
