1998 GU patrol A/T problem

Having problem with the kick down on the A/T it won,t drop down to a lower gear for extra power has anyone got any ideas we did have some problems with the ECU and had a new one fitted and programed the TPS was checked an that seems to be ok think maybe somthing wrong with the A/T
