So I've got a 75 litre sub tank from a GQ wagon going into a GU wagon.
Sure I may have to remove some brackets from the cross member at the front of the tank, where the GU 35L tank mounted to. I'll deal with that.
The issue appears to be the length of the sub tank between the cross member and rear swaybar, the tank being too long (1085mm). The tank will hit the swaybar just near the diff.
How long are the 75L tanks made for the GU's (between the rear edge of the cross member to the rear most point of the tank, including any drain plug)? A response would be appreciated.
I "may" require a bent upper control arm too. This is yet to be confirmed, perhaps once/if I mount the tank. I don't know why the GQ long rang tanks don't have the cut out for the control arm, yet the GU tanks do. Any thoughts on this?
Everything else appears ok. Yes I will have to re-route the last bit of the fuel filler hose and breather.
Here's a typical GQ tank
