GU TB45 heating issues

Have intermittant over-heating of engine 98GU patrol TB45 eng. man trans.
My hunch is that the fan does not kick-in via thermo switch when things get hot.
Can anyone supply me a electrical schematic?

Do the electric cooling fans come on when the A/C is on?

If they do I would start by replacing the thermostat with a genuine one and having the radiator rodded.
