hi there
can someone tell me if i should warm the two diffs,gearbox,transfer before i change the oil

Yup i would definately. Also check you can undo the fill plugs before you drain them, they get notoriously tight. I use an electric impact gun with 1/2 inch drive

I dont do it as all the metal is settled on the bottom

Dont bother, just go and make a coffee and chill out while it drains!!!!
It can help to jack up sides of the car to get the oil out..

The oil will drain quicker if its warm, but id just drop the plugs while its cold and let it drain no hurry

X 3 with all above but get yourself a magnetic sump plug or place a magnet on you oil filter for next time M2cW

Always a good idea to warm it up. There is always crud floating around in the oil, although on a microscopic scale that will settle to the bottom on the sump that doesn't always drain out when the plug is pulled out. Running the engine/gearbox helps to suspend the crud in the oil and drain it efficiently.
