This is how my car runs at 100km/h and I am inclined to believe that the bloke before has a diesel diff running in it.. What does your tb42 sit on at 100km/h and what gear? On 33's aswell.. An also on 33's what does you td42 sit on in what gear?

Sounds about rite to me diesel/petrol diffs all the same it's the ratio that's different if he changed ONE I'd be looking at running them at the same ratio as I think it could cause some serious issues when in 4wd mode I think

Tb42 cArby manual 2500 in 4th hit 5th and its about 1800-2000 doesn't seem right to me but it might be? A mate says a bloke he knew was sitting at 2500 in 5th in a tb42

I reckon its about right mate, they're not a high revving engine...... my missus little 1.5 Honda jazz sits on just over 2500 @ 100k in 5th

Well I literally never use 5th other than 4low once I hit 5th gear i lose all power, I guess I'm just used to the old 4runner, 3000 rpm 5th gear at 100km/h

Id just use 5th like an "overdrive". Slide into 5th when on the highway then shift back to 4th whenever you need a little mire power.
They are not a high revving engine though, as said above.
Mine is auto and sits around 1850 rpm at 100km/hr on 33" tyres.
They are torque monsters:-)

Higher revs at 100Ks in 5 th could be running 31 " tyres, could be different diff ratios to you
When tyres, diff ratios are so easily changed on 4x4s, engine speeds at certain revs can be rather different

I dont think its to high but for comparison I have a 2.8td and it sit at around 2600/2700 in 4th at 100km/h and in 5thit drops to just under 2500.
I also have 33's and mine is manual.

I have a TB42 5 speed on 33's and your revs are exactly the same as mine, ive never used 5th gear at all but i recon it could do with a 3rd and a half gear lol, im also in 3rd up every hill as 4th just has no guts at all,
cheers Mark.

Ye that's bout right mate. Have a tb42 dedicated lpg with a turbo on 33's. 100k's in 4th is about 2600 in 5th is about 2000. Use 5th a lot but have plenty of power with the turbo helping out.
