Teewah beach evacuated

Got to teewah beach on wed for a week of camping for my bday and then it starts raining .. Great. had an awesome set up with mates rain wasn't bothering us at all then Friday just after low tide rangers come and tell us the beach is being evacuated! Not happy! Bloody Ex-tropical Cyclone Oswald was heading for us ..... Now I'm here on my bday no plans and have a trailer full of wet gear to unpack ..if it wasn't for kids I'd have just stuck it out .

Just got on bom site to look at the forecast warnings .. It's weird its gone from total fire bans to flood warnings , its basically for east coast of qld http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/warnings/index.shtml?ref=hdr fingers x the end of our street floods as it doesn't take alot and again its a great under body wash.

Was at the very lower end of Teewah wednesday too mate, and also helped recover a toymota blocking the entry to the beach !



We came home early as well due to rain, could see the clouds rolling in on wed tho.....

Had a great party last night , my wife organised a last minute surprise party at a friends,certainly was a surprise lol.
party went till late unfortunately I was passed out at 7pm darn shots lol but apparently everyone else had a great time lol

Yea we got there on we'd evening and it didn't take long to rain,the fella that did the dodgy recovery who was camping next to us stayed with his caravan and they have recorded 122kph wind gust at double is point so can't imagine he's having much fun there lol
