Hi all

Just wondering if the gq came from factory with this sort of protection? I've been pulling off door trims and was pleasantly surprised to find some sort of water repellent inside all the door trims and inside the jack stowage. Just wondering if this is standard or if a previous owner was thinking about his future buyer?

Also it appears that the drivers door arm rest has broken the two screw mounts that affix the arm rest to the door. Are these fixtures easy to come by or will I have to mock up some sort of new mount for it?

Cheers

Andy

Gidday parksy and three dogs,
where I live is a vehicle killer, because I have the Southern Ocean a stones throw away. The first job I did after buying the Old Trol, was to get a tin of fish oil and apply it inside the doors and quarter panels. I cannot remember seeing any sort of discolouration inside the doors which would indicate a factory applied substance. (But can I trust my memory?) I still haven't done the inside of the sill panels or chassis. I have applied a layer of pitch to the exterior of the chassis.

Like most new cars they didnt. Either the previous owner has done it or like you can also do these days before you pick it up from the dealer is it has been applied then.
