Hello Guys!

I posted my first thread two weeks ago to introduce myself... I think its better to p

A little bit of white smoke, cold air thru the ventilator when the Patrol is running stationary and a lot of air in the hoses... cilinderhead gasket BROKEN down... :(

I started with removing all the parts. After 6 hours the cilinderhead is removed...

Now the cilinderhead is by a company for revision.

A have a few Questions:

- How do I remove the dirt out of the holes of the engine beneath the cilinderhead?
- I have a SMIC of a Toyota Supra Mk4. It has plus minus the same size of a intercooler on the patrol Y61 2.8. How do I implent this on the Y60? What is the best way? Every tip is welcome.
- I found some rust in the hooks on the bar where the radiator is standing... Tips how i remove it the best way...

the easiest way to remove the dirt from the bore if it is loose is with your Vacuum Cleaner ;) Works a treat

Thanks for the tip man. I will try it tomorrow...

I found some rust on the bar in the hooks where the radiator stands. What is the best way? Remove it with a screwdriver, scour it, rustconverter, zincspray, primer and black paint?
Anybody experience with putting a SMIC on a 2.8TD?

Hello everybody!

Its been a long time but it were very busy times ( restaurating my house etc...).

Yesterday I putted a 3 inch lift ( 8cm) OLD MAN EMU ( I love Australian stuff) on my 1991 Nissan Patrol... I dropped the gearbox 1 cm with a spacer...

Front lifted, backside still original. Its much better lifted...

But! I hear some strange noises when i'm shifting from 4th too 5th gear en when i lift my foot from the gaspedal when im driving 50 miles an hour. There is also serieus resonation when im driving
Is there something wrong with the hook of my diff and cardan?

Sounds like your diff pinion angle is wrong. Can correct it with some adjustable upper arms in the rear. What's the driveshaft angle like in the swb?
