Hi all
Have been in the process of removing, cleaning and renewing components on my 92 patrol and I've almost got it running perfectly. It still doesn't start right away and every so often the idle run rough, but only when cold.
On reading the Haynes manual it says something about the air regulator and checking for proper resistance at the electrical connector and checking for blockage. Only problem is that it isn't the most accessible part, living under the intake. Was hoping someone could tell me exactly what it is and what it does and if it doesn't actually need a clean. Engine is a efi 4.2.
One final question, the electronic dizzy, does any of the components require cleaning inside? I've heard of some photo joeysquinson something or other inside, some sort of light, does this occasionally get dirty and play havoc on engine running?
Thanks all for reading my post, look forward to reading your replies.
Cheers
Andy
