For my birthday late last year my family all chipped in to shout me 6 laps of Eastern Creek in a V8.
What a buzz, extended it to 10 laps as mates suggested. Well worth the extra, I must of been getting into it as the co-driver hit the kill switch a few times on lap 8,9 & 10. 205 klm on the main straight and 160 klm through turn one. Unbloodybelievable!!!!! Was asking co-driver what to do, but com's were only one way, thought the bugger was ignoring me. It was fantastic. Wish old Mactrol would mumbo like car I drove!

I know how you feel. My wife bought me 7 laps around Adelaide international race way. In a Ford... Best experience of my life.. and probably the most powerful thing I'll ever drive. Simply awesome...

Do they still do the tapes for you, or have they upgraded to cd??

DVD's now Kallen. They were $100.00 extra so bought extra laps instead, 4 for $150.00.

Good fun hey,

I did a similar thing down here at Calder park raceway, was in a BA falcon.
Loved it how they forced you to brake really late and use the brakes to full potential. Only thing I didnt like was they wouldnt allow me to pull 4th down the strait, hit the rev limiter quarter the way down then just had to hold it flat lol.

Been around most tracks some racing some not, Bathurst went around with my mate in his XW GT falcon even at legal speed limit tyres were squeeling there guts out going down the hill to Conrod. Back then NSW cop cars were MGs ,mini Cooper really weird stuff.

Everone gets a pic with this car, it is the same as the track cars, mine was green with Thirsty Camel very appropriate.

Did 1 on the Gold Coast, the car I drove was the Holden, it felted like I was driving fucked V8 or V6, its sooo slow, put my foot down and it slowly goes up to the speed. Jeez my old R33 would of beaten the hell out of it haha....
Don't bother with the Gold Coast one, its waste of money..

Cheers

I did it with V8Race in 2010, they had us running on the short version of the track, not the full length of the drag strip.

Just drove it around the carpark
It is the genuine unit Allan Moffats XY Falcon.
Mate did some paint work and I did a little brake work
long time ago but good memories.
Was at the workshop when they dynoed it before a Mallala meet.

Yer mate they were good days. I also worked with one of the guys on the design team who with Allan designed the twin plate clutch for those 351 rocket machines. I still have contact with him a good bloke to know if I have an engineering problem.

Tell me about it. I have always loved the Lambo's since I was a little kid and saw Cannon Ball run for the first time. I'm considering doing this one though...
http://www.redballoon.com.au/driving-experiences/sports-luxury-car-hire/lamborghini-gallardo-and-ferrari-360-drive-experience
I like Ferrari's, but they don't get my goat like a Lambo does. A guy around the corner from me has a Yellow Gallardo and I'm like a teenage girl yearning for Justin Beiber when I see it.
So I drive half/half or just drive a Lambo....
Two cars I have always said I would buy if I ever one lotto. A lambo and a black 78 model Pontiac Firebird.

The Red Balloon drive sounds pretty good, big price drop too!

Love the look of the Lambos and also the art deco design of the Veyron, particularly the cockpit. So, one of each of those in the shed to look at, and an Astin to drive to the shops for milk and bread :)

Allways loved the Lambos since I saw a glamour in a fur coat get out of one at the rich peoples door at Harrods.
Everthing about that scene was gorgeous... memories.
