Hi all

I've been trying to find if this engine has an egr system but I just cannot find a thing. Can someone please tell me if these engines came with this and let me know where I'll find it.

I've also found a few lone wires that aren't connected to anything(broken). There's a single black wire that I believe hooks up to the distributor, though I cannot be sure. There's also another 2 wire plug in the same location that has no home. I will post a photo when I get a chance to take a photo.

Cheers.

Andy

Hi Andy, At a quick look black single wire should connect to the distributor

With the other wires can you tell me, is one a black wire and the other brown with a black trace?

Cheers

Todd

Cheers for the response. The 2 broken wires are both black. But the wires before the plug are black and the other is blue/pink.

Anyone know how to remove the single plug on the distributor? I just can't seem to remove it.

Anyone have any ideas? Would really like to get these things sorted.
Btw, have ripped out every single vacuum line I could find and fitted new vacuum line in its place and the difference is night and day. Idle doesnt fluctuate anymore. Starts easier. Would definitely recommend for anyone troubleshooting a rough idling engine.

The plug I believe you are holding in your hand, male end is two black wires, female end I believe is one black and one pink with a blue trace, I will have to see if i can find it in the wiring diagram to confirm the colours, but pretty sure that't it

Below when you enlarge the pic you will see the black single wire going to the dizzy
