MAF Sensor

Hi Guys im new to the forum and just wanted to say hi to all and i am chasing some info .. Ive just purchased a new MAF Sensor from e.bay for my 99 2.8 ltr wagon . Its given heaps more power but now is stalling under boost ?? I accelerate up a hill it starts to boost then just drops out . Has anyone else experienced this before ??

It is overboosting and going into limp home mode.

I wouldn't be so sure on a 2.8. The op says its stalling so if it's stalling the engine is cutting right out, to off. Thats the way I take it anyhow.

Is it new as in exactly the same as original or new as in aftermarket? If its not same as original it may need tuning? I know even cleaning a MAF sensor that doesnt look dirty can give a power gain. Having a sensor that is positioned even slightly different from standard could make a huge difference.
