strange noise and missfire??

got in my mav this arvo and fired her up .. started as normal then got a sqeeling noise from under the rear and started missfiring .. noise seems to be coming from near the fuel tank and sounds like only running on 4 cyl.. idling low at about 300rpm and blackish/grey smoke puffing out the exhaust hmmm... 89 TB42 350holley ... any thoughts??

Fuel blockage When were filters last changed

Do you have a pump to feed the holley? Is it near the fuel tank?

well ... been mucking around for a couple of hours.. found it.. yey.. got a vacuum leak from the charcole canister.fixed the cracked hose and wa la , no miss .. the noise was the air check valve from the canister , at the fuel tank...
