Hi Peeps,
My name is Ian, & the 'swmbo' is Lisa.
We are new owners of a Nissan Patrol...2003 GUII. Our very first 4x4.
We have a 23' van, & are asking the Patrol to lead us around Oz in the not too distant future.

I am gunna have a thousand questions for you guys, so ahh...pls be gentle.:D.

although it is my first 4x4, its not my first Nissan. Had a Navara ute in a previous life, & still rate it one of the best cars/ute I've had.

look forward to chatting in the future,

cheers & beers

Ian

Hi kr & growler,
Thankyou for responding :-)

yeah, been going thru the site this arvo....actually answered a question for someone already :-).
Altho, have to say.......feeling a little bummed atm........dont know if we've bought a 'grenade' or not now.
I have got onto a reputable bloke just round the corner from me. He is a Nisso specialist apparently. Will be going to suss him out re potential issues etc.

thanks again :-)

I'm sure you will be fine its like all cars if you treat them right they will treat you right. If its the 3L yuor best friends will be the boost gauge and pyro/egt gauge especially if you will be towing a big van like that.

Thanks kr,
been researching info on this forum big time today.....the forum is a blessing too just quietly :-)...will be getting some costs on these items tomorrow actually. The Patrol has 155k on the clock. We have taken the van for a trip....about 2 hrs up the road..... & it did it as sweet as. But we understand the faults that lead to the grenade effect a bit better now.
Just on a side note...I see you are in Melb...we're Townsville....but, would you have an idea on what sort of $ we'd be looking at?
Wont hold it to ya mate......just trying to get a rough idea :-)

Hi mate and welcome to the forum. Agree on the Nav utes - had a D22 prior to the Patrol and loved it! Love the suspension on the Patrol better though - springs and shocks over leaves any day!
