2.8 GU blown turbo

Hi guys, on New Years Eve my turbo decided not to see the new year in. I've pulled the front off (intake side) and found that the fins are rough on the edges and one is missing. Are there any recommendations on the southside of Brisbane for repairs and is it worth upgrading the turbo for a basically stock engine apart from an exhaust and chip? I was going to take the turbo off myself but I'm stuck on the last two bolts on the exhaust side which are up against the block so I might let the mechanic do the lot.

FYI I rang a 4WD wrecker at Southport QLD a turbo price was $1250 obviously used, poured a bourbon and sat down for a price for a genuine new turbo from Nissan, refreshingly shocked only came in at $1440!!
