Zd30 has more guts than the 2.8. If you've gone from a td42 you need to drive it differently 2500rpm is the sweet spot. I have no problem with mine neither do many people and they tow well even better with a chip and ezhuast unless it was in limp mode haha but lets not go there

while the TD42t is a better engine, the ZD30, well mine anyway goes really good. Even towing. Theres a guy around the corner from me and he has a GU with a TD42 turbo in it and we had a lil' drag at the lights yesty and all he did was blow smoke and I left him for dead. He wasn't really impressed. So I wouldn't call the ZD30 gutless. They are no power house but they aren't that bad. Mines not stock too, nads, chip and zorst, the 4.2 had a Tiapan zorst on it.
The td42's with a nice pipe do sound horn though...

haha well what ever i choose it'll be getting a full test drive, im not gonna get a new 4by without seeing exactly what it can do
