TB42 to TD42 conversion

hey im not sure if this is the right forum

i have a 89 st gq wagon TB42c auto, i want to do a TD42 conversion on it. i was wandering if its worth it or would it be better to spend some dollars to get a gq that already has a TD42 in it..... also what would be involved in the conversion and would it be a big job?
