If it ain't broke.....

If its running sweet now I wouldnt change it. I have gas and petrol on my 4.2 and it doesn't take much to upset the ballance, thats on my truck anyway.
You can spend the dollars on a 20+ year old truck and get little to no power gain at all and invite potential problems.

Or it might go like a bullet...lol

Both my mate and I have recently fitted the pertronix 2 and flamethrower coil. My mates carby was stuffed so he put a reco carby on at the same time. The results were a massive improvement in power, economy and smooth idle but like I said, the vehicle was very sick to start with.
Mine had a good carby and good points etc then I fitted the pertronix 2 and flamethrower coil, new plugs and leads. I honestly haven't felt a big improvement in power or smooth idle (keeping in mind that mine was running smooth to start with). I have noticed a big gain in economy.
Both of these examples are from points to pertronix 2 Not pertronix 1 to pertronix 2 so I'm not sure if they help.
