Hi All,

I did a search and couldn't see this so i thought I would share:

http://www.ecutalk.com/consultlcd.aspx

This is the best piece of kit i have bought for my car - EVER.

It plugs into the consult port in the drivers footwell near the fuse panel and is plug and play - dead easy.

Works as a trip computer, fuel, temp, air flow meter, everything...

The coolest bit though - i can advace or retard my timing on the fly by 10%

I can adjust the fuel mix and enrichen or lean off by 20%.

I run my car on LPG and Petrol - these features only work on the petrol side but very happy.

I have to change the injector flow rate which takes a couple of seconds:

320cc for LPG

260cc for petrol

Has been acurate withing 5% to date. Have not tested it on a bit tour as of yet.

Cheers

B

Yeah I bought this for my 2.8 a few months ago actually.

It didn't support 2.8's as much as 4.2's.. I mainly bought it for the RPM gauge since my tacho dash doesn't work.

It's great to see your temps and volts too. The trip computer wasn't accurate for the 2.8's because it wasn't configured, but I haven't checked for updates recently. I might have a gander now actually.

Wow, what an amazing find. I’m really interested in this device. What Patrol model did you try it on?
It looks like the injector size has to be set, but it doesn’t show the size of the 4.2 petrol injectors, any idea what these are?
Were you able to advance the ignition? (As it says not all vehicles support this). I’m interested in advancing it for the LPG, but how would I know how far to advance it? Is it when the power starts to drop off?
How about the fuel injection timing, could this be adjusted for LPG?
Would it get an accurate speed reading from a 92 GQ?
Sorry for all the questions, but it seems like an excellent bit of kit.
Thanks

OK, I have a TB42E duel fuel.

For LPG, I set the injector flow rate at 320cc and it is very accurate. I already have advanced my timeing to the limit through the dizzy and run colder, wider gapped plugs. From what I have tested so far (about 2-3 weeks) the timing and fuel adjustment don't work with my LPG set up.

I have now started playing with the petrol side and found that 260cc flow rate seems to be fairly accurate. The lean/rich mix option does work - have only leaned the fuel off so far. Have yet to really play with the timing. My weekends are filling up very fast so my research/testing is a few minutes hear and there to play...

As Timbo said, the simple fact you get so much info is worth the price, everythng else is a bonus

The basic setting seem to allow you to lean or enrichen upto 20% in adjustment, timing seems to be 10 degress +/-.
