G'day everyone,

Happy new year to all ;)

This noise started this morning after having the engine degrease and cleaned from a weekend in the mud and sand. Every time I put the pedal down it sounds like a squeaky fan-belt, but much more horrible. At first I thought it may have been the turbo but I can not pin point the exact location of the sound.

I am ashamed to go out in public at present until I know if I can fix it myself or if I need to go to the car doctor.

Please help, and I hope the link works as I have not done this before

Thankyou

Can't access the video at the moment,

Why not try a little WD40 on say each of the pulleys air con, alternator, water pump, power steer one at a time till the noise stops it at least gives you some where to start.

G'day Mark,

Tried the WD40 on all areas, unfortunately it still make the horrible whine sound. Thanks for the tip though

Cheers

I agree with roofy, also check out fan clutch or bearing's in the alternator.
