this arvo after finishing my mess i put a couple of my bhut jolokia chilly plants in the ground one of them fell off so ithought are bugger it, itook the seeds out (yes i wimped out) had half and it sort of ripped itself right into me the burn came on i thought it was a dud but it kicked,inside for some yogurt after 20 minutes it started to settle down. that was a green one not ripe so im sort of gettin scared of a ripe one i couldnt talk properly for a while my mouth was numb.interesting stuff.kev

Bwahahahahahaa common misconception is that the heats in the seeds hahahahaha seeds ain't hot it's the white membrane that holds the seeds that's the killer! Good onus for having a go tho, makes me giggle
Now next step is the butch t Trinidad scorpion 50% hotter again

Have been nurturing a chilli plant in a pot. Harvested the first 3 chillis a few days ago. Didn't expect them to be real hot (look like jalapeņos) but was gutted that they had no heat at all. Just like eating a capsicum. Dunno what's gone wrong.

you can get duds doesnt mean the next one wont be nasty

If you want hot chillies treat 'em mean. Light on the water and plenty of sun makes them hot! If the bush looks a little ropey, lignified (woody) but the fruit is plump they'll get hotter.
