does anyone know where i can get some 8mm stainless wire crimped im in bankstown sydney the closer the better please.kev

I could be wrong but think you can get the tool and crimps from most hardware stores.

you could try ringing a local crane hire mob , or a boat chandlery mob whittworths etc , as they do yacht rigging they might do it for a carton , or even cable clamps I have 3 on mine did this a temp fix one trip about 3 years ago , this reminds me I should do the crimps one day

pretty much i have to feed the cable through the winch then make a loop and crimp it and bolt it on and then at the other end crimp it through a eye bolt.thanks guys.kev

12" bolt cutters do a wicked crimp. Put 3 or 4 cuts in it and it will clamp down well and never let go.

Try your local sparkies mate. They should have a crimper and dies for multiple thicknesses.
