The latest overlander 4wd mag has a new vehicle review. WOW! The top of the range with hydraulic suspension and all the bells and whistles sounds flash as a rat with a gold tooth! But too many electronic thing to frok up I reckon. Dunno there'd be many bush mechanics that'd be able to wave the magic wand over it, and from 85k-115k I think it's a lil pricey for me!!!

I'd love to own one but unless I get a extremely high paying job I won't ever own one. Even then it';s hard to justify $90k and then put some protection on it

I reckon even at 85K, i'd be too scared to take it off road and put a scratch or ding on it!

Will be a fair few years before I can afford one. Hopefully when they do come out though they will push the price of the current GU down.

They were not designed to be taken out in the bush. Soccer mums lookout there is a new Patrol about!

Has Nissan just priced itself out of the serious 4x4 world?
The price for a new GU8 isn't bad, and the GU price has been pretty good for quite a few years. Even if you throw another $10k worth of kit onto them the cost is still not too prohibitive. This leads to more 2nd hand GUs being available as people upgrade to the later models.
With an $85k starting price you're looking at around $100k or more by the time it's fitted out, that's way outside the existing price bracket of Patrols now, almost double in some cases.

Surprised it doesn't come out with 22" rims standard. And what's with the NO diesel.

Oops, didn't realise it's being sold along side, not instead of, the current GU version.

These have been out over seas since 2010. I think they are up series 3 now but talk has only just come up about hem fitting the 3.0 v6 diesel to it that you get in the top spec pathfinder and navara.

I've heard of issues with the V6 diesel, but only in the grapevine. No first hand experience.

It seems all to common these days but what doesnt have issues lol. It seems the demand is so high for a product that to meet the demand its the quality of product that is suffering.
