Warning for people getting there original radiators re-cored.
After struggling with this GQ for 2 years now I have finally fixed it. Got a new core put in the radiator at xmas 2 years ago now. ever since it has run hot on even the mildest days... like a 25 deg day driving down the freeway it would get up to 3/4 with the A/C off. have since replaced water pump, thermostat however they had no effect and there was nothing wrong with the old ones.
I just replaced the rad. with a different (factory style copper) radiator from another vehicle..... drove down to Hungry Jacks in 35 +deg temp with the A/C flat out... sat in the drive through... and drove home and it never even got to half way! (temp gauge).
So I am very happy to have it fixed, but I'm wondering what this radiator place has done to my original radiator..... did they just put a cheap chinese core in it? I don't know... but I payed a lot to have it done and it screwed me for 2 years looking at everything else but the shiny new radiator....

Did you not take it back to the radiator joint to ask there opinion on things, especially after changing everything they would say needs changing.
Any way good to hear alls well now.
Thanks for your tale.

Sometimes when you mix different coolants it will turn to a gel and partially
block your radiator, Lesson here stick to one brand or OE
