Ive definitely been in on the receiving end of more aggression since driving the patrol.

Admittedly ive been driving conservatively as im still getting used to the car, and face it i see little point to being the first off the mark at the lights to be stopped at the next set 100m down the road.

Apparently Yes, i did just buy the patrol to block your view at the intersection.

Which dash camera do people use and recommend?. Prices seem all over the place on the usual sites.

Take your pick really.. you can fork out $1000 for something like a go-pro or the more cheaper end

(just a little something I play with apart from the patrol)

GoPro isn't really ideal for this type of thing, I've got one they're more for action shots. You can use them for it but I'd rather something more permanent that I'm not going to take off all the time.

Have a look threw that site (hobbyking) there are heaps for bits and pieces. There is a stand alone lense which could be wired to small HDD for a more permanent setup and being the size of a 20c piece its pretty well hidden.

X 2 with Clunk jump on ebay my one supports up to 16mb card records in 2 min loops is motion activated.
Great at night as infra red as well, I use mainly for 4x4 tracks ,but after BA's effort might use it while Daily driving,
I can get them from OS very compact and very cheap, mine was less than $50 to my front door.

I'm a bit the opposite. Haven't seen any aggressive driving around me. Maybe the skinny wheels, bull bar and the big
Codan aerial on the front that frighten them away from me. Maybe they think my truck is a bit of a bush pig with the country number plates on?
Then again, it could be the son's L plates that make them keep their distance. Decisions, decisions. lol

I don't drive my truck like I stole it, either. With the lift and pod on the back, I block everybody's view. DILLIGAF?

The golden rule is.....if you can't see, you don't go! How easy is that? Don't answer that question. lol

Catch of the Day had these with the full waterproof enclosure (for diving etc) for $175.00 the other day http://www.expansys.com.au/contour-roam-full-hd-170-ultra-wide-angle-waterproof-223533/?mkwid=svHjLhmZB&kword=adwords_productfeed&gclid=CNrA993xr7QCFWdKpgodmEoAPw
I'm really regretting not getting one now

Barely bigger than a torch, take stills at set intervals or video at various resolutions. Very versatile cam and suit dash mounting much better than the Go-pro et al IMHO

They have been superseded by the "Roam 2" now which is why the "Roam" are so cheap and are avail from quite a few places sub $200. For full on action the Roam 2 or 2+ may be the go but as a dash cam then the original model works just fine

Bought one of these (http://www.chinavasion.com/china/wholesale/Car_Accessories/Car_DVR/Dual_Car_Camera_Mini_-_HD_Rotatable_Lens_-_DVR_With_GPS_Logger_-_G-sensor_-_Night_Vision/) a while back, works fine for me and I use a 16gig card in it. The only thing that may be a negative is I can't get the software to run on my Windows 7 computer, so I run it on my old XP. Cost me $80 delivered from China.

Just use your smart phone - well those that have them, less that $10 for one of those windscreen holders. Damn sight cheaper than buying a camera

Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....
