can anyone tell me how to change the oil seal behind the harmonic balancer not sure it is called.
i have a 2000 gu 3ltr if that helps.after info like how hard it is and time thanks

oil seal from nissan $20 ,take the couling off ,run to garage get them to do it $88
no loss of blood no frustration take home replace parts alls good

Front crank seal. As roofy said the seal is cheap enough. However its getting the crankshaft damper off that is the fun part. You will need a decent breaker bar and torque wrench (for re assembly) other than that its pretty straigh forward from there.

would like to do it myself but new to this sort of stuff so a bit more info would be good thanks guys
can understand you wanting to do it your self looks easy ,is easy if you have the right tools
a big rattlegun might move it if not done properly you might damage the crank

Just a rattle gun and as tight as you can get it with a sqirt of lock tight

... Well it's sounding a little bit more like a question now!
Are you able to download the manual from this site? It will have the torque settings in it.
Sorry, I can't be of more help until I get back on the laptop.
(maybe if you ask nicely someone else may have access to the info right now) lol
