G'Day and welcome to the forum MadMac, where abouts are you from?
My family lives in Gorzow which I visit every now and again

I live in Kielce ... so it's a way to Gorzów. In the other hand compared to distances in Australia is right next to the corner ;)
I've read here that you were born in Poland and moved to Australia in a mid 80'
How old were you when you left Poland?
How do you find Poland after those years?

I think that it's still not enough if you're going to get Gorzów or Kielce ;)

Yeah, moved here in'85 when I was 12 yrs old and now I'm the only one here from my family.
I have been back 3 times since I came here and things have changed a lot since 1985. From nothing in the shops with big queues to having more choice then here. And now Poland is one of the strongest economies in Europe.
I havent explored much of Poland as I have been too busy driving around parts of Australia but would love to have a look around one day.

It sounds like it wasn't easy way to get where you are now.
Just let know next time you'll be in Poland ... maybe we can talk a little over a beer ;)

Sounds like a plan....some Lech or maybe they still have EB, that's the one with the kangaroo and emu on the bottle.....
.........on the move

Yeah EB is still available ... but it's not so popular as in those days.
EB is a shortcut from Elbląg's Brewery (Elbląski Browar) ... in the nineties some Australian company decided to invest money into it, same as in Hevelius from Gdańsk ... that's why there were a kangoroo and emu on the logo. Later the same company took over a Warka and Leżajsk breweries ... but for some reason they had troubles and the Heineken took it. And that's the story more or less ;)
Nowdays we have many breweries but don't really know who own them ... things are changing fast but the best beer is from a small breweries from a small towns which are not a competitors for a corporations.
