Hello from Manila!

Hey guys,

Leonard here from Manila. I have had a GQ Patrol TD42 diesel since 1998 and have logged 274,000 kms on in so far. Replaced the original shocks, coils, and steering damper with Oldman EMUs back in 2002. Had a Safari snorkel installed at about the same year too. Tried but got tired of re oiling the Finer Filter element so I went back to the original air filters.

I heard from a friend that Australia is Nissan Patrol country so I immediately signed up when I ran into this site. Hoping to learn some new stuff and make new friends.

Hi Jas,

I just use my Patrol for my frequent farm visits in Batangas. I dunno if you've been there, it's roughly 1 hour and a half from Pasig. The road in my farm usually gets muddy during the rainy season and is impassable to cars. How long a time did you spend in Manila?

Hi mate - spent three weeks at a time there over 2 years. So was probably there for about 5 months in total but broken up. I know Batangas - something I miss over there was the Wagyu Burgers!

Haven't tried the wagyu burger, but I'm sure it tastes real good for someone in Australia to miss it! I'm sure that would have gone down pretty well with a nice cold San Miguel beer. :)
