How do i identify a H260 rear Diff

G'day guys,

I am looking to do a Diff Swap on my GQ and am going to fit GU Diffs front and rear. I will use my current diff centres and lockers into the GU housings.

I understand the GQ diff centre wont fit into the larger H260 rear diff in some GU Models?? can anyone tell me if there is a Stamp of identifying feature on the Diff that can tell me if it is a H260 or not?

I have found a pair at a wrecker that have been taken out of a car already so cant check the compliance plate and he has no real idea what he is looking at and i am doing it over the phone.

Your help or a pic would be brilliant.

Can anyone with a 2010 3.0lt tell me if they have a H260 rear diff please as that i what i am looking at?

The young fella's ute has H260's mate - give me a couple of hours and when I get home I'll take some pics and post.

anyone out there with a 2010 in the driveway or actually from 2006 to latest in a ZD30 would be great guys. I am hoping to get these things today and fit them on the weekend if i can

Coil sprung manual 3.0 had them but Im not sure they went that late. A h260 will be physically massive compared to a h233. If you were to look at a front and rear the 233's would be of a similar size and like I said a H260 will be huge compared to the front diff.

Yeah thats what i am reading too Newby just the bloke on the phone seems a little bit lost..... Yeah mate i have a few here. they are all low kms, they are all out of 3.0s so which one do you want? he could not tell an Auto hub from a Manual hub until i told him..... Go luck
