New Patrol Owner 2008 CRD DX 5 speed just saying G'day

Hi Crew, been following this site for years but only just now have become a Patrol Owner, had a 02 Navara 3.0di for a while then went over to an 80 Series but had the Gear Box blow up at 250thou so am back on the Nissan Program, my old man is on his 4th Navara now got a D40 and the mrs has a Nissan Pulsar so wanted to keep it in the family!! anyway bought the car with 103thou km on it 08 model dx pverty pack, perfect with kids and dog and beach and sand etc pretty much just hose it out! Its more of a family holiday car and towing my boat and also a bit of towing at work but nothing crazy yet! Love the car its 5 speed but has Cruise control which is great, am sure ill be quizing a bit on this site, its already playing up slightly but hopefully nothing major, i bought a Low Km vehicle hopimng to avoid most issues, anyway thanks in advance for your help and advice, Mick

thanks guys stoked to have such a positive reponse on joining the site, Jas the problem i am having is the surging or accelerator issue that i have read about on this site, if im coasting along trying to hold speed and kind of balance the accelator pedal it misses or surges hard to explain it definately seems like accelerator, i had it back at nissan last week and they checked EGR valve, cleaned MAF, checked the TPS adjustments, check drive shafts etc, it felt better straight away then after a 150km run on monday it started again, never does it in cruise control or under acceleration only when coasting at 40, 50 60 80 etc km trying to maintain that speed, any gear doesnt matter, have read that changing the accelerator actuator may fix it? doing my head in as there is no fault showing or when i took nissan for a run it did not play up?!! arrgh

am planning on changing fuel filter tomorrow, car was serviced at 100thou but when i got it I checked the air filter and it was real bad so changed it straight away was dusty as,
