Yes mate. I'll personally be ordering 2 spares (plus mine if need be) as replacements if needed and ill deal with the company.

There is no rush with this guys. If your interested ill add you. If you can't afford it by the order time we'll fill the spot.
I don't think it'll fill quick, but hopefully before mid year.

The place I'm getting them from don't brand them. They are the manufactures and then send them off to arb, ironman, etc.

Gidday, Kallen, $360 for a 12000 lb winch is pretty good. Do this mob make a cradle to fit my Nissan factory bar? What would the total cost be with a cradle and delivery. As you know, I'm trying to save up for some decent tyres and rims, but I just might shell out for a winch if the price is right.

No they don't sorry MN. But I use to have a bar like yours so I could make one for you to suit this winch and we could fit it up over a weekend.

Sure does mate. They provide a bit extra protection when the rope is running over things like rocks and so on...

I think they retail for around $80 for that length..

Righto Dudes and Dudettes, after having a think on these winches what Ive come up with is a "group" freight deal.
I'm prepared to transport these for a standard price per unit. I travel the Eastern states almost weekly and can divert (with-in reason) with minimum fuss.
So if your looking at taking advantage of Westy's great deal PM me or better still text me your address and details and Ill put together a delivery run.
It may take a week or two for me to get to all destinations, but rest assured I will hand deliver your unit.
Cost per unit will be capped at $25.00 per unit.

Keep the shiny side up Dudes,,,,,,,,,,

Ok guys, a firm 1 more...

If you guys like I can get the ball rolling, get the final price and start taking payments.
I'll need winch payment first, then once landed I can get firm postage prices and then the postage can be paid.
Now with payment, if going PayPal please be awear there will be a $11 fee for the initial winch payment. But you get buyer insurance..
I prefer money transfer, but ill leave that to the buyer..

So, get it rolling?

I usually use Paypal but ever 1 here seems to be trustworthy so when your ready to order shoot me a PM with your BSB and ACC no. it usually takes from 1 to 3 days to clear. And just 1 last thing, what was the time frame from the time you make the order to you receiving the 10 units??

There coming by sea (cheapest postage by far), so I'd say its likely we'll see a 4 week turn around from order day, give or take a week for weather etc..

As for firm price, its basically the aud that'll affect it, so ill calculate a fixed price tonight. I'll pm everyone on the list and then work threw emails from there.

Also a side note, TPC noticed the weights of the winches look to back to front. I have sent an email but due to being shut ill have to wait for a reply.

Anything else people would like to know or confirm before placing the order feel free to ask guys.

Negative mate. That's why I'm ordering 2 spare units. So any issue I will deal with the company, and save you the fuss.
An electrician and I will be testing each unit before sending them out, so I should be able to guarantee they will work when you get them..

I can't Personally check them, if I did it would be second hand then hay... :p
I did a lot of research before settling with this company, ot wasn't the cheapest, bit they had the best (least) failure and return rates. And offer the best warrenty layout.
I see why companies charge $1000+ for these things, the amount of time I've put into it would have exceeded that well and truly.. but hay, I'm always out to help people...

The company has shown me videos of the 2 winches in action, they didn't actually fail the tests, the motors actually stall and burn out at more than 5 times the rated capacity.. they are one tough unit...

Postal order is in the mail, so that should push things along. Sorry to all involved, as I didn't get kallen's massage until a couple of days ago, because my combloodyputer is cactus. I'm outta here. Will be back when I can get back to the public library again.

I must be the only bloke that doesn't own a mobile. No point if reception is hit and miss. The old mobile used to get signal, if I walked out onto the highway, or sat on the roof, next to the TV antenea.

G'Day Westy, which winch are you looking at getting and where are you getting it from ?
I have a 12000 lb winch that died a horrible death on its first use, dragging a 120 kg gumtree branch up an embankment
all of 30 ft. The winch has broken two of the three planetary gears and stuffed the hex. drive shaft.
Naturally , of course, there is no answer from the winch flogger or evilbay or paypal. These winchs are sold under a variety of names but all seem to originate from the same place
Can you send me a photo or some details so I can see if they are the same as mine. Email address to please and I will forward some photos of the damage.Bloody lucky that I hadn't bogged the car
and relying on the winch to get me out eh!

Righto, it appears to be the winch I have , the only difference is the Dyneema and fairlead. I do not want to rain on anybody's party but if it is the same as mine , which it appears to be, then a long hard think may be in order before you commit to this.
Westy, you're the one that everybody will come after if a winch goes bung. I will look for the names that are used to sell these items and let you know. Various names are used.

Thanks for the concern Jim, but spent a bit of time going threw different companies before settling on these.
And these were by far not the cheapest..
The company has got a pretty good reputation and as mention have supplied some good evidence to back them. I would post it but it has some sorta copy right thing on it.

But yea by all means throw me the aftermath of yours to kallenwestbrook@hotmail.com

I regreat to inform you top blokes that I've been had. The company I was in talks with quoted $100 postage via sea and they stated that this included customs clearances, certificates and everything needed to get them in..
Well I've had my doubts, and today its rang true. For the last 2 weeks I've been trying to confirm this cost and today I've recived confirmation that the true cost is about $6 /kg. Don't need to be smart to realise that doesn't equal $100, closer to $2500.

So unfortunately this is no longer viable as it pushes the winches around $600 a unit..

So for if you guys could please supply the details via pm ill refund you cash.

Again, I'm extremely sorry, and very embarrassed about this situation.

Any way of getting them here thru another company??

Its not the postage costs that's the issue. That's the $100.. its all the stuff I was told it included, like clearances, treatment, taxes, handling etc.
So no matter what company you go threw were going to hit the same wall..
