Managed to get my hands on a decent quantity of steel for free and am considering making a flex ramp  just wondering what hight would be needed .. I've only got a 2inch but wouldn't mind making it suitable for 5-6 inch lift if I have enough bits :bananadancing:

Call superior they should know the specs for a travel ramp. But it should be at least 6-8 ft high and needs stabiliser to stop it from tipping.

Yea I've seen the one that superior have and it's prity darn big, and would be overkill for a typical street car, have you tried there's?

We made one for a chrissy show. Not sure if its still together..
It was 8feet tall and 5feet long. So your ground wheels were well away from the rsmp..

Mmm I think I may be stretching it to make one 8 foot I'd have to get some more and would weigh a ton with the stuff I've to lol

Just go see Superior and measure theirs. There are specific dimensions but I couldn't tell you them

Sounds pretty close Ben. But for a back yard job I would stick with nothing more than 5 - 6 feet tall

Don't worry I'll be taking it to a workshop day for sure thats why I don't want it crazy high and heavy

Id go 2000 long and 1500 high with tread 400 wide. It'll fit in a box trailer. Be a 3man lift though. What steel do you have about

Build bolt on side and back stableizers for safety and ease of transport

That’s about what i was thinking but 2100 long with a 100mm lean to the front of the ramp for more stability with some sort of lip at the top to stop the wheel popping off the top.
Got an old bill board frame 8mm thick c- channel.. The frame on its own was a 3 man lift to cut up but i like the idea of the bolt on stabilizers
