I'll keep it short, just after anyone's ideas on a couple of issues im having. Engine is TB42 carby.

The Mav starts fine about 9 out of ten times but on the one time i need to crank it for a while and then when it finally starts it coughs and splutters a fair bit for the first second or so. Today it took about 4 cranks to get it going and when it did it coughed and choked the worst it has so far.

The other problem im having is when i slow down and put my foot on the clutch and change gears to slow down it holds the revs from the gear change when i come to a complete stop. The revs come down if i let the clutch out a bit at the stop to bring the idle down.

She runs like a dream besides these two little issues. I wasn't worried about the starting issue but after it took so long this morning i thought i better do something about it. It doesn't matter if its been sitting for a while or turned off then straight back on. the issue is totally random.

Cheers, Simsy

You may have to overhaul your carby, it only cost about $80 for a kit and is easy to do yourself
