A while ago someone on here talked about how easy it was to put a proper gauge for gas to get real time tank levels but did not go into detail and did not reply to request..

Does anyone know of how this is done as the old light bar as we know is as vague as they come.

I always remember about asking this question when I am driving and say to myself "when I get home I must ask" and of course sitting in front of the computer forget?????

Mine use to be connected to the main tank gauge after they took it out
was fairly accurate

On the gas tank there is a gauge, first you have to see if it is for e.g. 0 - 10 ohms or 10 - 0 ohms then find an aftermarket gauge that works in the same way. Then all you have to do is tap into the wire from the tank sender on the safety switch.

Hmmmm!!!!

Ok light headed right now (just finished big job) but that makes sense, will look into it as the gauge in the cab is useless !!!!
