Gu snorkel on gq

Hey all,

I've got a tb42 carby gq. I spotted a Gu snorkel on a gq the other day and thought it looked mint. Also being a cheaper option as people seem to sell thier old ones on eBay I thought I'd go down that path. What do I need other than the snorkel and where is a good fitting place within the south east suburbs? Live in Pakenham, work in Frankston.

Yea templates come with new units. So buying second hand unit makes it harder.
Your best bet would be to try and find some1 buying a new one to photo copy it.

You'll find it very hard for any shop to touch it without a template. don't waste your money, contour to the body will be different, IMO just not worth all the B/S you're about to go through.
Find a snorkel for your model with the correct template no problems with fitting it all happy. TOO many horror stories about cheap snorkels

Sigh... you win 3 dogs...Lol...fair point....Looks like I'll be going without for a while....safari ones are ugly...any other cheaper options without compromising quality?

If your not going to fit it yourself then imo buy quaility after all your engines life depends on it! LOL

I'm pretty sure safari have just bought out a mk2 for the Q's. It enters up near the window and behind the quarter to the air box, like the GU's.
