Transmission change, from Gearbox to Auto?

Geday all, I would like to change my gearbox to a 4 speed auto I have a nissan patrol 2005 3 ltr gu dx. How do I go about it, what costs are involved and any recomendations?

Its a costly exercise mate. Someone else on here will be able to give you a close idea but its not cheap. Theres a fair bit of work to do it as well. Youve got the box its self, the transfer case, the drive shaft, wiring, the list goes on. As i said, its expensive but someone else on here will give you a better idea.

If it was recently a manual why would you? You would loose most of your power and would make the car dangerous in hill descents.
