Hi there.

Bought this kit the other day under $18 + lacquer and bits n pcs.
guess it doubled in price + lacquer
Wanting something to get my attention not just a little dial.
This kit is easy to assemble 1/2 hr as suggested.
Can be set to work either as a single dot or multiple.
The kit recommends a jumper pin on board to set one or the other but I installed a lead and a switch so can have either styles at the flick of a switch.
3 yellow leds, low volts,
6 green ok .
1 red, over charging alternator
Recommend this switch as leds can be bright if aimed at your eyes.
This is why I mtd the kit side-on and it works a treat not to bright/annoying, in ya face.
Pics are it hooked to power supply, in shed.
Took longer to remove dash drill holes and fit and replace dash, than to make it.
Sorry I should have taken more pics but forgot.
Side wall of cluster is dual wall.
Outter wall 6mm holes. leds are 5mm dia.
Inner wall 4mm with 6mm starter taper.
This allowed leds to fit snug in without peeping through inside of cluster.
I simply supa glued leds in position and a dab of silicon on board and cluster to help hold in place.
It isn't going anywhere.
You can see white around leds in pics this is the supa glue, used dental pic to remove excess.
Could have done a screw job but didn't want to see screws or complicate things.

Low and behold I have a suss battery now.
The exact reason I wanted the device in the first place.
I cant remember the last time I actually looked at volt metre without engine running.
Now well I guess I'll have to make another for the beast.

The pics don't do it any justice.
The paint that bleed around holes is dry now and inconspicuous.
It is very stealth looking.
The way it's mounted no glare or extra light bouncing around annoying you either.
I looked at pre made options but I enjoy making things and it wasn't expensive.
The can of electronic lacquer would paint easily 20 more so more projects 1 day.
Happy as larry
