Just thought I'd shoot out a quick hello, I'm Eric from Coffs Harbour.

Put down a deposit on a 98 GU 2.8 on Sunday and am getting it delivered up to me on friday :) Got it for a real bargain, and am hoping to learn a whole heap about them on this forum.

I'm a fitter/machinist by trade, and have access to mig and tig welders at work so might look at fabricating some goodies later on down the track, also have a friend who has a 99 2.8 whos worked on his a bit so can call on him for some help if needed.


Will post up some piccies of it once I give it a good clean up :)

Thanks guys! Keen as to get the patrol on Friday, Already ready for the 1st task at hand of completely cleaning the interior, and pulling the cargo barrier out for now so the kids seats can go in!

The GU is going to the detailers next Monday for a full makeover, Really can't wait to get the interior steam cleaned as it is so grubby, gonna be mint once its done... Oh and a polish too :D I'll post some before and after pics once its done!

Thanks guys, I got the car detailed last week and the outside came up real good, Now I just gotta clean the interior a bit more as they seem to have concentrated on the outside rather then the inside like I asked them too :S

Will have to put some pics up in members ride.
