Hey everyone I decided to give this forum ago as i am looking to get a 4x4 and well the one that grabbed my attention the most was the Patrol plus ive always been a Nissan fan!

Im currently looking at either a GQ SWB or LWB... engine wise im thinking TD42T with a bit done to it or mabey seeing how a TB48 would go.

But i gotta buy a patrol first before i get to excited

Thanks.

Gday mate and welcome aboard. Enjoy the forum and all it has to offer and ask away, we'revery good at spending other folks coin lol

Oh yeh if you're looking for a 4.8 you'll be looking at a GU, the GQs only went up to 4.2 petrol

Thanks for the Welcome, by chopping do you mean rough? I like the idea of a worked T/D but seeing some of the figures from the TB48 under low boost also grabs my attention. Will definitly put pictures up!

Welcome mate, surely the best forum on the net. If you need it, you can get it, if you want to know it, just ask it.

Never argue with an idiot, cos he'll bring you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

Gday buddy. Ask away more than enough patrol experiance to help you make an informed decision

G'day mate

Welcome to the forum and glad you could join us.

As a prospective GQ owner, I love your forum name - RustInPieces. lololol

Seriously, a GQ is better than nothing.

No, really seriously.....All the best with your searching. I'm sure there's plenty to choose from.

If buying privately, remember the REVS check and buyer beware.

Take care out there.

Welcome to you and you gotta love the old GQ.
Def LWB for comfort...... lol
Not sure about the 4.8, I've heard a few comment the compression isn't so good for engine braking downhill.....
I have a TB42e and it does the job....even if it enjoys a sip more than I do!
Cheers,
Drew
