I hear u mate, I'm 37 and me and my partner struggled to get a 310k loan last year for a house that was selling for 350k, I work full time and my partner works part time, we had 40k as a deposit and the banks wouldn't touch us, they would only lend us 300k so had to come up with another 10k, lucky we managed to get the 10k from elswhere otherwise we would still be renting
